Underrated Songs You Need To Know

Getting sick of hearing Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang? Nonsense songs with nonsense lyrics? Singers just mumbling and not even singing? And those overrated songs are just getting annoying on my nerves.

I quite enjoy listening to music but overrated songs isn’t just for me. I pretty much prefer listening to underrated songs that have a beautiful meaning. Here are some of my favorite Underrated Songs That You Need To know.

  1. Ultimately by khai dreams

khai

I know almost all of you might not know this song and the singer, but this is song is really cute. The indie vibe of it and the cute ukulele strums is just too much to handle especially the voice of Khai is mellow and soft. This song is really good when you listen to it before you get to sleep. His calm and deep voice lulls you to sleep. Funny how one day I was scrolling to my youtube and this was on my recommend, I got curious and click on it—and boy how glad I am I found it.

2. This is home by Cavetown

this is home

Okay, so all of cavetown’s songs are good but this is one of my favorite song of his. This song is all about the LGBT and being accepted by the society and having an abusive home. It’s really overwhelming and emotional at the same time, especially when I first heard this song. My favorite line in this song is “I’ll cut my hair, to make you stare. I’ll hide my chest, and i’ll figure out how to get us outta here.”  like how the LGBT people are trying to be out of their closet but to afraid to do it.

3. Lemon Boy by Cavetown

lemon

Yes, it’s cavetown again. What I love about this song is the way he uses the words in his song. This song is just cathartic that just makes you sit back and listen to it and to feel the songs. Also this song has a very deep meaning, this song talks about a abusive relationship and eventually it led to isolation. The melody of this song overall is pleasant. This song really feels homely and the vibe of this song is pretty warm. His writing skills are just majestic in sense. I love the way he uses and plays with words. So I really recommend this song.

4. Narcissist by No Rome ft. The 1975

narcissit.jpg

No Rome just recently made a new song and it’s narcissist. I was shocked when I read in his youtube comment section that he is a Filipino. I never knew someone could make a good EDM song such as him. Also the fact that he featured Matt Healy aka The 1975. Vocals are on point. The instruments are pretty catchy and pretty much blends in on their vocals. Well this is probably the least meaningful songs out of all the songs that I recommended here but I considered this too because it’s a pity to skip this. This song pretty much explains a friends with benefits relationship. (lol what)

5. Kids are depressed by Jeremy Zucker

kkk

Last but not the least, my most favorite of all. I love how this song mirror our society nowadays. Jeremy Zucker never fails to amaze me. Just like the songs above I also found this song ‘accidentally’. This song has a powerful meaning, how kids or teens nowadays are getting depressed due to the rapid change and can’t keep up with the change. This song was also based on his experience. He started writing this song when he was in college but didn’t get the chance to finish it when he got depressed but time goes by he overcome and defeated his depression and decided to continue writing this song to inspire people that are going through the same situation as him. This song has helped a lot of people to cope p with their crippling depression. So I totally recommend this song.

Music is an art form. Music helps us to create a certain emotions whether happy, sad, angry scared etc. It allows us to explore different emotions. So I hope you like the songs above that I recommended.

Top 3 Must Read Webtoon

Webtoons are a type of digital comic that originated in South Korea. While webtoons were mostly unknown outside of the country during their inception, there has been a surge in popularity internationally thanks in part to most comics being read on smartphones and computers now.

Here are my top 3 must read webtoons:

  1. Lookism by Taejoon Park

lookism

Lookism is my favorite of all webtoon novels that i’ve read so far. This story is pretty much the same as the reality and some of the parts of this story happens in real life. Lookism is about a boy named Hyung Suk who is bullied because of his looks. He decides to transfer schools, only to wake up in a new body. This story’s genre is drama with a tinge of humor and romance. I’m really looking forward to this story because the character’s changes are really drastic and the plot is so well written.

2. Ghost Teller by QTT

ghost teller

Okay so this is my top 2 must read story in webtoons. This story is a compilations of short stories about the cruelty of people. It’s pretty ironic because of how the ghost are the one who tell stories about the cruelty of humans and how scary they are than ghost. I really like the artwork of this webtoon and the plot twist  of this story is pretty much shocking and overall this story is a must read and well written.

3. Noblesse by Kwangsu Lee

rye.jpg

Last but not the least, noblesse. First things first this webtoon is a bit long (long is understatement) but, it is really worth to read. The scenes—fight scene of this webtoon is pretty amazing. So this story is about a powerful noble – Cadis Etrama Di Raizel (referred to as Rai) – who has been asleep for 820 years with no knowledge of mankind’s advancement and scientific successes. Even though the chapters are abou 500+ and still ongoing it is really not boring to read.

So these are my top 3 must watch webtoons. Even though there are many stories that are good but for me these 3 are the best so far.
